Join me over java, a bloody mary, a cold beer or a round of shots!
Never settle for a bad doctor, always pay for a quality bra & always wear clean underwear. Did you ever hear that saying? Growing up, these were three pearls of wisdom that always seemed to be strung together. Not quite sure why. Well I have no problem seeking out the best doctors, I may cringe at the price when I buy a quality bra but I do it anyway, and I always wear clean underwear. The Cottonelle Challenge had me considering tossing my underwear entirely and trying it out myself. I loved it! I was so happy, I reached out to Cottonelle on Twitter. They offered to send me free samples when I offered to share my review with all of you.
If going commando is a new term to you, it means not wearing underwear. You may have seen the commercials. The Cottonelle rep approaches random people asking if they will go commando. Its funny and kind of cute. Until you consider it yourself. I mean the thought of losing that extra layer can be somewhat intimidating. Perhaps you are nodding your head in agreement as you read along.
Let me ask you…when did you decide to stop using a moist wipe as a baby and turn to using only dry toilet paper? You didn’t. Using plain paper is just what you do. Of course toilet paper will always be a staple, but I am an avid fan of the Cottonelle Fresh Care Wipes and their Clean Care toilet paper. Yes, you may think I sound like a commercial but if you think of some of your favorite products, you will understand why I am singing it’s praises. The wipes have a clean scent and dry quickly. They have similar ridges as the paper and when used together, you feel fresh. Now going commando is liberating!
I urge you to try it out for yourself. Go to the Cottonelle site and tell me afterward just how life-changing it can be for you.
I was offered the opportunity to guest post for Recipe Chatter. I encourage you to check out their site…its an incredible resource and definitely bookmark worthy. My post, Gluten Free Baked Cauliflower Fritters was published today. Hope you enjoy & share.

If you are anything like me, you are always seeking the next hack to make life easier. I dont have it all figured out. Not by a longshot. Clearly I am a work in progress. That is my motivation to learn and improve along the way. Part of the fun in learning about new hacks is the discovery. The ‘Of Course!’ moment. I have those on a regular basis now. Partly because of all the amazing hacks shared by The Krazy Coupon Lady. I am sure you have already visited her site. If you haven’t yet, you should. Like right now. Seriously. Go…I will wait here.

Great site right! I knew you would like it…now back to the hacks. I have come across so many & they span different needs such as cooking, shopping, online site and beauty hacks but I wanted to share those that help keep your home organized. I am not saying I have a magazine ready home, but these tips and hacks below will get me closer to a feature spread in Martha Stewart Living!
Bobby pins end up everywhere…all the time. Until now. UrbaneBloc shared a genius hack using a simple magnetic strip to keep your bobby pins organized. That alone is awesome!
Home Goods shared a tip that not only appeals to my OCD, but makes so much sense I am amazed this isnt a typical way to store sheets. The fact that its a hack means its not mainstream. Whyyyy?
I wouldnt advise you to look under my sink right now, but when I reorganize it like the pic below I may just invite people over for an open house! Look how cute! Thank you Martha Stewart.
For those who occasionally spend time on their hair (occasionally guilty!), you may have some tools and hardware laying around. For many people, its tough to keep all the cords organized. This Cosmopolitan hack is not only a no-brainer, but it can be a beautiful design piece to your decor. A magazine holder…how can you not love it!
There are sooo many more hacks to share. I can go on and on but like I said before, part of the fun is the discovery. So go check out The Krazy Coupon Lady and click through all the other tips & hacks. They are honestly life changing!
Its time to start thinking of dinner and I am tired of leftovers. I have boneless, skinless chicken breast and want to try something new. Where do I turn for inspiration? Pinterest of course!
The first one I came across is this carb loaded masterpiece from Singing Through The Rain. Loaded chicken & potatoes…I mean come on! Excuse me while I drool.
Another casserole option (notice a pattern here?) is this parmesan chicken bake from My Kitchen Escapades. If your mouth isnt watering, it will be…just look at this deliciousness!
We may have found the winner winner chicken dinner option! OH MY GOODNESS! This recipe is from Pinch Of Yum and they deliver more than a pinch. I may have to make His & Hers trays…not sure I would share.
I dont have quinoa on hand (gasp!) but after reading the recipe, I can swap it out for brown rice to keep the fiber content high and the calories limited to about 400 per serving.
To amp up the veggie percentage, I want to try out these cauliflower tater tots. Dont they look like you can eat loads of them? No? Just me then. Ok…moving on. Well I cant take credit for these. I found these at Farm Fresh To You.
So…what are you making for dinner?

Its Motivation Monday and I am in need of some inspiration. I’m at the bottom of my coffee cup and need more than caffeine to get this day started. I know I am not alone in this…some of you are reading this nodding along or silently agreeing. So let’s share. What three things keep you motivated?
To make it interesting, let’s remove the one we all have in common…our family. That is a given. We are all motivated by our loved ones. Adding another level to this motivation, link back to a blog post that either motivated you or may help others get their kick start.
My three motivators are:
- Coffee…kind of a given considering the name of my blog
- Social media…odd choice but I get new ideas when I cruise around
- My home…we bought a house and now I want to make it a home
So…what gets or keeps you motivated? Share in the comments and link back to a post you care to share with all of us!
